Early Dismissal

Given the extreme heat we’ve experienced in the area the past few days, we are having difficulty cooling the building down and as such are granting students early release after noon today. We are aware that Detroit Public Schools Community District is releasing 3 hours early today and will be following suit. If you are unable to pick your children up, we will have them relocated within the building to rooms that we are able to cool off more effectively. There will be no after school activities held today.

We will plan to have a regular school day tomorrow as the heat is reported to back off and the building will have had more time to cool off. As always we keep our students safety first and will keep you apprised of any changes.
